Research Project

General Information

The research project is a compulsory elective module in the following programs:

• CAME
• NPE
• Textile
• RoboSys

According to these programs’ curricula, the research project is planned in the third semester. You do not need to register for your research project beforehand.

Step 1: Look for suitable project topic and supervisor

You are free to look for a suitable project topic and supervisor. As a starting point, you can talk to a lecturer of a course in a field of interest to you related to your studies.

Should you feel unable to find a suitable topic after a reasonable amount of time has passed, you can approach your Academic Advisor for support.

Step 2: Fill in the documentation sheet

Fill in a documentation sheet with your supervisor to agree on the milestones of your working process. You will find this document in the link below.

Step 3: Compile your Research Project

The scope of your research project is deteremined by your program’s Examination Regulations. Please refer to the links provided on your program’s sub-page here on this website.

Step 4: Submit your research project to your supervisor

Submit your report to your supervisor. Your supervisor will complete the documentation sheet and enter your grade. They will also forward your grade to the Central Examination Office (Zentrales Prüfungsamt) to have the research project added to your transcript of records.

You will need to download the documentation sheet and save it on your device in order to be able to edit it. Please don’t forget to save your changes before submitting the sheet to your project supervisor.
